Facebook to launch Flipboard competitor ‘Paper’ in newspaper format. While Google is making life difficult for many brick and mortar companies after chasing many huge internet companies out of business, social networking giant Facebook too seems to be hounding many internet companies now.
Flibboard seems to be a worried lot at the moment as there are reports that the social networking giant with more than a billion regular users across the world is set to introduce an app that may resemble Flipboard and may be named Paper.
To be true the path so far was rather very easy for Flipboard as it didn’t have much of a competition in the virtual market but now with reports of a giant like Facebook entering into the market there are reasons to worry for the future and even survival against such a huge competitor. Reports suggest that the social networking company is working on a news aggregator for months and now it is the time to come out of it. There were reports that a large number of Facebook users were going to news sites from it as news were being recommended by their friends.
A report says that the Facebook app will not be following a magazine format but will be giving news in newspaper format. An Engadget report suggests that the “project was originally a feature developed for the News Feed during a previous redesign, but it didn’t make the cut”. Now it will be launched with a new name in the market pretty soon.
